In addition to well-equipped research laboratories, the Department of Pharmaceutical Science shares core research facilities that include: A genomics facility with an Affymetrix suite of instruments for DNA array hybridization, scanning and analysis; core molecular biology and protein chemistry instrumentation; facilities for cell growth, storage and processing; Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting; animal facilities for in vivo and in vitro experiments; controlled-environment rooms; and a wide variety of preparative and analytical instruments.
There are a number of core facilities in other units of the University that are also available to researchers from the Department, e.g., NMR spectrometers, including a new 700 MHz NMR, mass spectrometers, and additional computer clusters.
